Soil Moisture Sensor বা মাটির আর্দ্রতা পরিমাপক

মাটির আর্দ্রতা পরিমাপক (Soil Moisture Sensor) হলো একটি যন্ত্র যা মাটির ভিতরে পানি বা আর্দ্রতার পরিমাণ নির্ণয় করতে ব্যবহৃত হয়। এটি কৃষি, বাগান, এবং আধুনিক সেচ ব্যবস্থায় অত্যন্ত গুরুত্বপূর্ণ একটি প্রযুক্তি।

মাটির আর্দ্রতা পরিমাপক কীভাবে কাজ করে?

মাটি যত ভেজা বা শুকনো হয়, তার বৈদ্যুতিক বৈশিষ্ট্য (যেমন পরিবাহিতা বা ক্যাপাসিট্যান্স) তত পরিবর্তিত হয়। এই সেন্সর সেই পরিবর্তন নির্ণয় করে মাটির আর্দ্রতার স্তর বুঝতে সাহায্য করে।

মাটির আর্দ্রতা পরিমাপক সাধারণত দুই ধরনের হয়ঃ

  1. রেজিস্টিভ সেন্সর (Resistive Sensor)

  2. ক্যাপাসিটিভ সেন্সর (Capacitive Sensor)

রেজিস্টিভ সেন্সর কিভাবে কাজ করে?

  • মূলতঃ এই সেন্সরে দুইটি ধাতব প্রোব (ধাতব দণ্ড) থাকে যা মাটিতে প্রবেশ করানো হয়।

  • মাটিতে যত বেশি পানি থাকবে, তত বেশি বৈদ্যুতিক পরিবাহিতা (conductivity) হবে।

  • ফলে বেশি পানি মানে বেশি পরিবাহিতা
  • সেন্সর এই পরিবাহিতার মান পরিমাপ করে এবং সেই অনুযায়ী মাটির আর্দ্রতার পরিমাণ নির্ধারণ করে।

  • অর্থাৎযখন মাটিতে বিদ্যুৎ পাঠানো হয়, আর্দ্রতার পরিমাণ অনুযায়ী সেই সিগন্যাল পরিবর্তিত হয়।

  • সাশ্রয়ী এবং সাধারণ ব্যবহারে উপযোগী।
উদাহরণঃ

শুকনা মাটিতে বিদ্যুৎ প্রবাহ কম হবে → আর্দ্রতা কম।
ভেজা মাটিতে বিদ্যুৎ প্রবাহ বেশি হবে → আর্দ্রতা বেশি।

ক্যাপাসিটিভ সেন্সর কিভাবে কাজ করে?

  • এই সেন্সর মাটির চারপাশে একটি বৈদ্যুতিক ক্ষেত্র তৈরি করে এবং মাটির ডাই-ইলেকট্রিক কনস্ট্যান্ট (dielectric constant) পরিমাপ করে।

  • মাটিতে পানি বেশি থাকলে ডাই-ইলেকট্রিক কনস্ট্যান্টও বেশি হয়।

  • বেশি আর্দ্রতা মানে বেশি ক্যাপাসিট্যান্স।
  • এই মান বিশ্লেষণ করে সেন্সর মাটির আর্দ্রতা নির্ধারণ করে।
  • এটি বেশি টেকসই, মরিচা ধরে না, এবং নির্ভুলতা বেশি
  • আধুনিক স্মার্ট সেচ সিস্টেমে ব্যবহৃত হয়
