Drippers or Emitters:
- Inline Drippers: These are small devices inserted into the main drip tubing at regular intervals. They deliver a consistent flow of water to individual plants. Inline drippers come in various flow rates and are ideal for closely spaced plants.
- Micro Drippers: Micro drippers are similar to inline drippers but are designed for smaller plants, pots, or containers. They provide precise water delivery to the root zone of individual plants.
Bubblers:
- Adjustable Bubblers: These emitters release water in the form of a gentle bubble, making them suitable for trees and shrubs. Some adjustable bubblers allow you to change the flow rate to meet the water needs of different plants.
Sprayers:
- Micro Sprayers: Micro sprayers emit water in a fine mist or spray pattern, making them suitable for groundcover, flower beds, and hanging baskets. They can cover a broader area compared to traditional drippers.
Pressure-Compensating Emitters: These emitters maintain a consistent flow rate regardless of changes in water pressure. They are especially useful in systems with varying elevations or long tubing runs.
Non-Pressure-Compensating Emitters: These emitters do not compensate for changes in water pressure, so their flow rate may vary depending on the water pressure in the system. They are typically less expensive than pressure-compensating emitters.
Self-Regulating Emitters: These emitters adjust their flow rate based on the soil’s moisture level. When the soil is wet, they release less water, and when it’s dry, they release more. This helps prevent overwatering and underwatering.
